Throw a Bonfire Party

If you live in an area where it’s allowed, throwing a bonfire party is a great way to heat up the cold winter nights. Send out your invitations for the party and remind the guest to dress casually. Get a count on how many people will be coming so you can have enough food and drinks for everyone. After gathering up your supplies, start preparing for the guest.

  • First, check to see if there is a burning ban going on in your area. If so, postpone the party until a later date. Normally, you won’t have to worry about this in the winter but it’s still a good idea to check.
  • Find the best location for the fire to make sure it will not spread to trees, brushes or anything else where it can get out of control or cause damage to electrical wires and so forth.
  • Collect the wood that you’ll need for the fire and have it ready.
  • Double check the forecast to make sure it’s not calling for storms.
  • Select some upbeat music and make sure you have a good sound system in place.
  • Provide chairs for the guest to sit and relax when they’re not socializing or dancing.

To be on the safe side, have a couple of water hoses hooked up and close by just in case the fire gets out of control. Use them to put out the fire at the end of the party. Now you’re all set and ready for your guest to arrive.
