Backyard Weddings

One of the most memorable of weddings is the backyard wedding.  Presence, ambiance, and personality are all critical components of every backyard wedding.  The most important part of planning for a backyard wedding is knowing how to make the existing space work.  The decorations you can use come in so many different shapes and sizes that it is only a matter of taste.  The process of preparing yourself for a back yard wedding doesn’t mean that you are totally susceptible to the weather.  Backyard weddings are a great way to reduce costs and make a wedding distinctly different, exceptionally beautiful, and welcoming.

Many couples opt to have a backyard wedding because it is notorious for its demanding presence, enchanting ambiance, and winning personality.  Really!  This is why more and more people are choosing to move their wedding from the chapel to the backyard.  Some couples who have had a backyard wedding are happy with their decision.  This is not to say, as with every wedding, that there will not be any hiccups.  That is inevitable.  The essence of nature’s personality dominates an outdoor wedding in the backyard.  This is hard to replicate indoors.  The backyard wedding boasts a higher comfort zone than any traditional chapel can offer.

The most important element of planning an outdoor wedding is the efficient use of the existing space.  By using what you have, you are most likely to reduce unnecessary costs.  With some minor tweaking here or there, most backyards are ideal just the way they are and can most certainly be dressed up with a bit of creative decorating.   Colorful fabrics, natural wild flowers, and running vines are just some of numerous things that can be used to turn your backyard into a wedding wonderland.  Additionally, the color theme of the wedding could be easily transferred to your own personal backyard.

When it comes to creating suitable decorations for a backyard wedding, where there is a will there is a way.  Creativity is the motto!  There are so many different materials that can be made into backyard wedding decorations.  Pull out that old craft scissors, some glue, or even a bit of glitter and start having fun.  Take a hike and collect some beautiful wild flowers you can make into bouquets to adorn various places throughout your backyard.  Conch shells are great for lining the pathway or aisle that the wedding path will use.  The natural color of the conch shells is vibrant and exotic.

Backyard weddings are, often times warm, intimate gatherings of friends and family.  It is always interesting to see the different personalities that shine through the decorations and ambiance of each backyard wedding.  How craftily and efficiently was the existing backyard space used?  How much attention was paid to the unpredictability of nature?  These are all issues that must be considered when planning for a backyard wedding.  Today’s couples that are seeking more personality and intimacy for their nuptials than what a typical chapel ceremony has to offer are opting for backyard weddings.
